03.03.2006 On February 28, 2006 Siemens Representative Office in Belarus and Belarus National Technical University (BNTU) held joint seminar devoted to modern tendencies in the development of the world machine-tool construction.
In the seminar took part teachers, post-graduate students and students of two faculties: machine-tool construction and robotics and electronics. In front of young scientists spoke Mr. Blaschke – senior manager for business development in Eastern Europe, who told about the perspectives of automation development in near future. After this project manager of Automation & Drives department of Siemens Representative Office in Belarus Mr.Vetrov and director of Siemens partner Sitek Mr. Kartsev familiarized participants with fundamentally new approach to the designing of machines with the use of innovational solutions on the basis of mechanotronic method and virtual production. They told future engineers about the new possibilities which opens the use of numerical software system SINUMERIK, stated the conception of modern machine with the high-speed working, based on the use of line motors and high-speed spindle.
Siemens has always supported and will support the responsible approach of large corporations to the interests of the society, that reflects in the support of science and the economy of those countries where its subsidiaries work. For Belarus it is now very relevant to modernize its machines and to train specialists of corresponding level who are able to work on the fundamentally new equipment. The acquaintance with new equipment shall take place even in the university. It is necessary to provide the training of technologists-programmers who are able to work on the machines managed with the help of the Internet.
The cooperation program of Siemens Representative Office in Belarus and Belarus National Technical University is oriented at the support and training of young Belarusian engineers.
