A combined heat and power (CHP) plant is one of the most efficient
energy production methods, converting fuel into electrical energy
and heat at the same time (usually in the form of steam and hot water).
These plants have a fuel efficiency of more than 90% and simultaneously
minimize nitrogen and carbon oxide emissions.
Siemens has recently
won several contracts for combined heat and power plants in Russia,
Belarus and South Korea.
