22.02.2006 Mogilev Region Governor Mr. Boris Batura has received the Head of Siemens AG Representative Office in the Republic of Belarus Mr. Andreas Berns.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of mutually beneficial co-operation between Siemens and local companies. In particular, the governor suggested Siemens to participate in a project to develop an automated control system for burning locally available fuels. Besides, the parties gave a thought to developing automated management systems for passenger transportation in Mogilev.
The parties also discussed the possibility of upgrading the artificial kidney department at Mogilev Regional Hospital, which will require an estimated EUR 3 million.
Batura also invited Siemens to co-operate with experts of Mogilevliftmash in developing an effective elevator security system and an electronic system for elevator maintenance and control.
Within the framework of a two-day tour of Mogilev, Mr. Berns visited Mogilevenergo, the Mogilev branch of Beltelecom, Mogilev Chemical Fibre Plant, and the administration of Free Economic Area MOGILEV.
