Siemens Representative Office in Belarus has become on of the main sponsors of German-French project called “Media-Bus”. This project was realized in the tight cooperation between the Embassies of Federal Republic of Germany and French Republic in the Republic of Belarus, Goethe Institute Minsk and French-Belarusian Hall of Information, as well as Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
Media-Bus is a library on the wheels with German and French media, as well as translations into Belarusian and Russian languages. It was created mainly for the Belarusian citizens in different regions of Belarus, who are interested in German and French languages and cultures. Various books, cassettes, CD’s about Germany and France await not only young readers, but also teachers, librarians and other interested visitors.
In October 2004 ã. Media-Bus was presented in Minsk. Since November 2004 – Baranovichi and Bobruisk. On May 26, 2006 Mr. Martin Hecker, the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Belarus, and Mr. Stefan Shmelevsky, the Ambassador of French Republic in the Republic of Belarus, presented Media-Bus in Molodechno. In the grand opening took part also the Chairman of Molodechno District Executive Committee Mr. Semen Kasabutsky. From now on the first and third Wednesday of each month all interested readers have a chance to use the services of Media-Bus which will await them at City Library in Molodechno (4, Tolstoy st.) from 14:00 till 17:00.
