On April 29 in the chamber hall of Minsk Philharmonic has taken place a solo concert of a young talented Belarusian musician whose name is already rather famous in European musical circles, – Rostislav Krimer. He performed compositions of Beethoven and Chopin. And in October-November Rostislav will be the director of Yury Bashmet International Festival.
"The main idea of this festival is not only to invite famous musicians to Belarus, but to help our young talented performers. And we are going to do this by organizing their joint playing with the world’s best musicians. The idea has been supported by Valdimir Ashkenazi, Yury Bashmet and "Moscow Soloists", Victor Tratyakov, Vassily Lobanov, Natalia Gutman. For the young musicians it will be definitely a great support in the world of music, and for the country – a very interesting event in the cultural life. The organizer of this festival will be the Palace of the Republic with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and German Embassy in Belarus. The festival has already enlisted the support of large companies – Siemens AG Representative Office in Belarus and Lufthansa", – stated Rostislav Krimer.
