From March 21 to March 24, 2006 there was 9th International Specialized Exhibition "Automation. Electronics" in the main exhibition center of Belarusian capital. Siemens was presented by its partners: Sencom-Automatics and Simatek. The organizers of the spring intellectual forum one more time brought together national and foreign producers and suppliers of automation means, electronic componentry and electrotechnical products.
Today in Belarus this science intensive sector of economy is more dynamically developing. The demand for radio-electronic products alone is estimated at ˆ15 million annually. And export potential is much higher. Among the key tendencies that meet the national priorities and course of innovations are microelectronics, instrument making industry, communications, IT technologies, television technique and display facilities. The state programs Microelectronica and Radioelectronica implement the scientific provision. In this context organization of this specialized exhibition is seen as well-timed and vital event that reflects the spirit of the times. It does not only demonstrate a wide range of electronic components and advanced technologies, but is also directed to attraction of foreign investments, contributes to the increase of market mobility and creation of the information field.

Siemens was presented by its partners: Sencom-Automatics and Simatek, which presented Siemens A&D products:
- programmable controllers SIMATIC;
- text and graphic operator boards;
- SCADA systems SIMATIC WinCC for control and visualization of technological processes;
- equipment for industrial informational networks Industrial Ethernet, PROFIBUS, AS-lnterface;
- industrial computers, monitors.
For the first time to Belarusian specialists there was presented novelty – PROFINET-equipment for industrial informational networks. Stands were displayed in our country in the framework of the international PROFINET-TOUR program, aimed at familiarization of interested people and enterprises with innovational Siemens developments.
