A citizen of the Federative Republic of Germany an honored doctor of the
Gomel Medical University Mr. Dieter Knautz is awarded with a breast
badge “For Assistance to the Border Troops”
for assistance rendered
to the State Border Guard Committee in ensuring safeguard of the
State Border of the Republic of Belarus.
Doctor Dieter Knautz is well-known in the Gomel Region and has authority
as the Head of Humanitarian Fund “Assistance to Gomel. Medical Assistance
to Belarus” which many years has been rendering disinterested aid with
medicines and medical equipment to the residents living in radio-nuclide
contaminated territories after the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe, as well
as to border guard men and members of their families.
The award is to be presented to Dr. Knautz in October of the current year
when a regular humanitarian escort arrives to the Republic of Belarus.
